Terms of Service — PsyAtlas

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the PsyAtlas application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PsyAtlas is a digital health platform that uses artificial intelligence to analyze psychosomatic connections between mental states and physical symptoms. The platform also facilitates connections between patients and licensed therapists for professional consultations.

3. Medical Disclaimer

PsyAtlas is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI-generated reports and analyses are informational tools intended to complement, not replace, consultation with qualified healthcare professionals. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

4. User Accounts

To use PsyAtlas, you must:

Be at least 16 years of age
Create an account with accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Provide false or misleading information
Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
Harass, abuse, or harm other users or therapists
Share your account credentials with third parties
Use the App to transmit harmful or malicious content

6. Therapist Services

Therapists on PsyAtlas are independent professionals. PsyAtlas facilitates the connection but does not employ therapists or guarantee specific outcomes. The therapeutic relationship is between you and your chosen therapist. PsyAtlas is not liable for the advice, treatment, or recommendations provided by therapists.

7. Payments & Refunds

Payments for therapy sessions are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Refund policies are as follows:

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a session are eligible for a full refund
Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee
Disputes regarding payments should be directed to contact@psyatlas.com

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of PsyAtlas — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, AI models, and software — are the exclusive property of PsyAtlas and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. AI-Generated Content

Reports and analyses generated by our AI are based on the information you provide and general psychosomatic knowledge. These outputs are generated algorithmically and may not always be accurate or applicable to your specific situation. Use AI-generated content as a starting point for discussion with healthcare professionals, not as definitive medical guidance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PsyAtlas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, health outcomes, or emotional distress. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to PsyAtlas in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of PsyAtlas shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Your continued use of PsyAtlas after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
